McGarrah Jessee is looking for a highly strategic account director to help lead a significant and cherished agency account.
Succeeding at this position will require leadership, autonomy, polished management skills, organizational vision, collaboration, tactical excellence, nervy strategic thinking, and effectively explaining the benefits and drawbacks of EMV. Sharp creative instincts are needed, as well as keen business savvy. Creative opportunities abound, as do new growth opportunities across a myriad of functional areas. Great preference exists for account direction experience at innovative, creatively-revered shops.
Responsibilities:
- Build the McGarrah Jessee brand of service, garnering trust through meaningful and earnest contributions
- Nurture and protect an environment for business-building creative
- Maintain accountability for all work from conception through production
- Manage priorities across multiple diverse initiatives
- Drive workflow across multiple teams, projects, partner agencies and clients, enabling productive collaboration
- Ensure brand cohesion and connectivity across entire initiatives and engagement plans
- Lead large-scale strategic efforts with senior clients
- View every touch point, client request and uncovered idea as an opportunity
- Lead scope of work development and budget management
- Identify and foster long-term scope growth
- Cultivate relationships with partners, new clients and vendors
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8 – 12 years of agency experience
- Financial services experience a plus
- Good ideas
- Relentless curiosity
- Rabid aversion to settling for “good enough”
- Confident written and oral communication skills
- Knack for dedicating oneself to details while maintaining global operational vision
- Ability to develop and deliver compelling internal and client-facing presentations
- Strong creative intuition
- Charismatic relationship-building skills, both internally and with clients
- Thick skin and a steady hand
