Your Role:
Develop and execute a Human Resource strategy by incorporating McGill Hose & Coupling’s core values and vision. Your core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain talent. Identify staffing needs across all levels of the company.
- Building the brand and position of the organization with emphasis on core values, culture, and employee engagement.
- Participate as a strategic partner to senior management on the development of business strategies and objectives. Ensure alignment between business plans and HR initiatives.
- Onboarding new employees to ensuring a smooth and positive McGill Hose & Coupling experience.
- Act as a liaison between employees and management to address and resolve workplace issues.
- Implement and support company policies and procedures to maintain a positive work environment.
- Guides management and employee actions by researching, creating, and updating policies, procedures, and guidelines. Assuring it aligns with the company’s core values and maintains a positive work environment. Investigate and resolve legal issues related to employment practices.
- Develop and oversee performance appraisal systems to assess employee performance and development needs. Identify and support career development initiatives and succession planning.
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs for all employees. Partner with Sales department on product training. Document all training and provide a roadmap for specific industry training (NAHAD / Danfoss etc.)
- Provide guidance to managers on performance improvement plans and employee development.
- Lead communications process for communicating efficiently and effectively with all employees companywide.
- Administrator and educate employees on benefit programs, including health insurance, and retirement plans.
- Stay informed about federal and state employment laws and ensure the company’s compliance.
- Investigate and report on workers' compensation accidents. Work with insurance carrier and employee.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Prepare and analyze HR reports and current market conditions to assist in decision making.
- Manage company drug testing program requirements along with background checking and preemployment screening.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree – Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years’ experience, SHRM certification a plus.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred but not necessary.
- The ability to establish a strong empathetic connection with employees. Building relationships and leading through influence.
- Demonstrated professional experience across HR Disciplines, including organizational health, recruitment, benefits, employee relations, compensations – including commission sales structure a plus.
- Ability to objectively coach, influence, and mentor employees and management through complex or difficult issues.
- Strategic thinker who can see the vision and mission of the organization and apply appropriate actions to meet the goals.
- Maintain personnel records and ensure compliance.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment regulations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, conflict and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, works well under pressure and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
