Position Description
The primary role of the Proposal Coordinator is to position the company to win business in the markets in which it currently operates, as well as future new markets. The Proposal Coordinator reports to a Pursuit Manager and is a key team contributor in leading project teams through the proposal phase in winning work. This position’s primary responsibility will be proposal and presentation development for pursuits and other project opportunities. Additional responsibilities can include developing proposal materials, strategy implementation with business development, and content generation during the pursuit phase. He / she is a versatile talent with a strategic mindset, a high level of attention-to-detail, and a natural ability to raise the questions that need to be asked to isolate and deliver impactful messages.

Qualifications
Required:
- Four-year college degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency working in Adobe InDesign
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ability to influence
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision, yet to exercise good judgment in seeking supervisory guidance when appropriate
- 3 years of relevant work experience in a marketing- or communications-related role
- Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is a plus
- Experience with one or more of the following is a plus: 1) marketing professional services, 2) commercial construction or related businesses, or 3) proposal development
- Experience successfully working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Professional Services industry experience (construction, architecture, engineering) a plus.
- Bonus: key industry experience including federal, industrial, high tech and life science and healthcare

Responsibilities And Tasks
- Develop proposals and presentations on behalf of the company in the pursuit of project opportunities
- Lead internal meetings independently in support of the above, coordinating and influencing participation from cross-functional individuals of all position levels (including executives) and driving the selection of messages that will compel proposal and presentation audiences
- Assume responsibility for meeting critical deadlines on behalf of the company
- Counsel staff members and provide a ‘winning’ approach to business pursuits and interviews
- Provide creative ideas, layout and design, copy writing, and production and distribution support for various marketing materials related to proposals, project interviews, bid documents, etc.
- Support business development related activities, as available – including leveraging CRM for pursuit related activities
- Collaborate with other marketing team members, coordinating efforts, sharing best practices, contributing creative ideas, and proactively helping to balance the team workload
- Participate in additional marketing department activities, including team meetings, professional development and training opportunities, industry partner networking events, and departmental and company-wide process improvement efforts
