Position Summary:
This excellent career opportunity offers a recurring revenue stream from over two decades of established business in the State of Vermont. The Sales Representative will be afforded a self-managed schedule, a company vehicle and technology backed by an extremely knowledgeable and industry seasoned leadership team. Seeking an organized, energetic, and results-driven regional Sales Representative to take over the existing Vermont territory. In this role you will build and sustain solid relationships and expand market share throughout the state. Candidate must excel in resourcing decision makers and initiating and developing relationships with key influencers in fire departments/municipalities. This remote/state travel position will facilitate all company revenue within the state territory. Flexible commission arrangements with ability to make a six figure income. Salary stated is for average production. Base plus commission.
Essential Job Functions:
- Strategically plan, forecast, and execute annual business plan, including identification of key influencers within the state territory, prioritization of target accounts, strategies to develop each account and working collaboratively to increase market share.
- Identify and effectively pursue direct contact with fire department officials to determine current and future needs.
- Develop and maintain thorough understanding of PPE product lines, as well as competitive products to ensure most up-to-date product knowledge.
- Actively schedule and conduct new product demonstrations.
- Travel within territory to conduct face to face transactions with existing and potential customers using company vehicle.
- Coordinate full cycle of transaction from sale to delivery.Consult and educate customers on material innovations, industry standards, and product availability
- Accurately quote prices, prepare proposals, and conduct location surveys to gauge inventory fulfillment needs of desired products
- Cross functionally coordinate with internal and vendor marketing departments to drive inclusive customer solutions and brand awareness
- Generate and expedite resolution of customer concerns with professional courtesy
- Analyze territory potential, track sales, and generate reporting to management
- Self-manage sales process and provide full circle follow up
Qualifications Desired:
- A strong work ethic, hunter mentality, personality for sales, and the drive to pursue new business and support existing business.
- Knowledge of Firefighting and/or EMS Technology and Equipment (not mandatory)
- Post-Secondary education with focus on Business Management, Marketing, Sales, and/or related
- Must live in Vermont or within close proximity for ease of travel to all fire departments in Vermont.
- Comfortable managing and manipulating company operation system for submittal of orders

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
