Duties:
- Provide administrative support to lawyers and legal professionals
- Answer and direct phone calls with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette
- Assist with the organization and maintenance of legal files and documents
- Utilize document management systems to store and retrieve legal documents
- Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare responses to discovery in Word and balance sheets in Excel
- Perform data entry tasks to update and maintain legal databases
- Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing
- Assist in the preparation of legal contracts and agreements
Experience:
- Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role is preferred
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in using document management systems and other software applications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail for proofreading and reviewing legal documents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for transcribing dictations and preparing correspondence
