Essential Duties and Responsibilities Hours: Monday - Friday 10a to 7p - No Weekends Review contents of referral to ensure complete and accurate information has been received Create a patient profile from a scanned or faxed image by entering correct patient and provider information to ensure all other groups can successfully serve the patient Conduct initial check of prescription to ensure clinical accuracy for processing Enter prescription information into the system in preparation for pharmacist verification Communicate with providers regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information, or patient concerns so that all information is collected and accurate before it reaches other teams for furthering processing Creating or updating progress notes concisely to ensure other roles within the workflow are able to quickly assess the status of the referral Enter new provider information (i.e., National Provider Identifier) accurately into the system so that the Business Intelligence group can complete their reporting Work with the highest degree of quality and efficiency Perform other duties as trained and assigned Qualifications/Requirements Required Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification High School Diploma or greater 2years pharmacy experience Conscientious and detail-oriented Competent in basic computer skills Ability to effectively work independently or within a team Ability to follow directions and strive to exceed expectations Preferred Prior experience working in a Mail Service or Specialty Pharmacy setting Effective communicator Excellent organizational and time management skills Multi-task oriented Flexible and adaptable Innovative and continuous improvement mindset Must be authorized to work in the US.
