McLane Classic Foods is a premier custom kettle products company based in Burleson, Texas. Specializing in custom product development, we produce a wide range of kettle cooked recipes for our national chain restaurant partners. Our capabilities include an array of kettle cooked food products including soups, sauces, side dishes and dips.
We have a great opportunity for a QA Technician - 2nd Shift
Role and Responsibilities
· Pre-op inspection including swabbing before or after sanitation.
· Perform and submit micro and swab forms to the lab.
· Conduct assemble and report data for product testing requirements.
· Perform HACCP/Quality checks as required and document results.
· Ensure plant personnel are following GMP/HACCP/Allergen and other pre-requisite programs.
· Calibrate lab equipment (thermometers, pH meter, salt titrator, brix, hygiena machine, etc.).
· Complete necessary documentation for QA functions.
· Enter data accurately into computer database.
· Place any non-conforming product under QA hold as needed or directed.
· Work closely with production and maintenance employees as needed to ensure Food Safety and Quality is maintained.
· Perform monthly facility inspections.
· Perform weekly facility inspections.
· Collect water monthly samples.
· Perform room temperatures.
This is a weekly rotation shift:
- Week A schedule is Monday thru Friday
- Week B schedule is Mon thru Thur - Fri off & work Saturday
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Must be able to periodically lift up to 40lbs. from ground level to height of 4’.
Must be able to work in a cool to warm environment (40°F – 100°F) during an eight-hour shift.
Intermediate math and literacy skills (English).
Intermediate computer skills.
Preferred Experience
Intermediate QA and processing knowledge.
HACCP Training.
Allergen Training.
GMP and Operational Sanitation Verification Training.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
