Position Summary: Provides expert support functions for all aspects of the department including: clerical services, managing patient records, customer interactions, maintaining professional and well equipped facility, scheduling and check in processes, direct customer support via phone, electronic communication, and in person and assisting technologists.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Manages scheduled patients from lobby to appropriate imaging area including verification of patient identifiers and procedure, correct demographic information as well as test prep information, patient clearance for MRI, patient history, and acquires IV access if needed.
- Assisting with positioning patients on MRI table with the correct coils and positioning devices.
- Cleans exam rooms and equipment after procedures to prepare for the next patient.
- Assists technologists with patient care.
- Maintains supplies and equipment.
- Adheres to all MRI safety policies/protocols for patients and staff.
- Performs general clerical activities such as answering telephone calls and scheduling patients.
- Performs other related duties as required and directed.
Pay: $13.43 - $18.26
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year clerical or unit clerk in medical field related position.
Preferred:
- Previous training or one year of experience in a related medical environment.
