Line Locator Job Description
Job Description:
Correctly, safely and efficiently locate underground utilities including but not limited to gas, water, electrical and cathodic protection
Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area
Accurately mark utility location with paint and flags
Complete all necessary documentation and photograph marked area
Perform onsite inspection during hydrovac and mechanical excavation
Read and interpret alignment sheets
Requirements:
Must adhere to all company policies and procedures during excavation
Must be self-motivated
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Must be willing to work overtime and weekends if needed
Must be willing to respond at all times for emergencies
Must be willing to work outside in all conditions
Must have good computer skills
Must have good verbal communication skills
Must be organized
Experienced locators preferred but willing to train the right candidate
Previous experience in pipeline operations preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.43 - $25.81 per hour
