Overview
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Inside Sales Representative promotes Clow Valve as an outstanding place to do business by diligently advocating and communicating customer requests across the organization to ensure customer happiness.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
- Sustainability: Achieve an average net promotor score of 9 or above annually
- Customer Experience: Maintain order entry accuracy of two errors or less per month, average.
- Leadership: Complete 2 continuing education opportunities per year.
Responsibilities
CORE FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
- Customer Service (75%): Promotes excellence in customer experience by building and being an excellent partner with distributors, customers, and outside sales force. Provide accurate pricing and product specifications to allow for informed decision making for order placement. Monitors customer orders from conception to completion to guarantee timely delivery and ensure customer happiness. Meticulously leads and completes required administrative responsibilities, order fulfillment, and proactively anticipates production gaps along with thoughtfully facilitating solutions to ensure extraordinary customer service.
- Product Knowledge (20%): Proactively seek opportunities to understand all standards set on the industry, develop knowledge of requirements, part specifications, and products to be an experienced resource for our customers. Partner with the engineering department to gain full understanding of required specifications and limitations on new part creation. Safeguard customer happiness by ensuring accurate product is being supplied per customer requirements by performing specification reviews and providing timely order entry of new product by signing off on new part numbers.
- Returns (5%): Diligently assist outside sales with all purchased goods that do not meet customer happiness by providing accurate, timely returns and advising on the best quality carrier to return the material. Cohesively work with quality and production to diagnose deficiencies on all returns and provide a balanced solution that delivers excellent customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Office Suites
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- AX and Clow product knowledge preferred but not required
Education & Experience:
- A.A. Degree or
- 2 years experience in Customer Service is required; experience within a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
