What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician Clinic R2 (9:30am -8:00-pm) position at MD Anderson?

Key Functions
Meets productivity guidelines while maintaining accuracy
Manages prescription flow, not allowing prescriptions to backlog in any area
Counts/pours correct drug into appropriately sized container, labels container and prepares it for pharmacist verification
Demonstrates competency of all computer systems and applications used in the area
Processes payment method correctly through the register
Maintains assigned sections monthly by checking expiration dates, cleaning and facing shelves, removing partial bottles/liquids and return to stock bottles from shelves
Other duties as assigned
Education
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
Two years of college supplemented by courses in pharmacy, laboratory technique, or basic science.
License/Certification
Required:
Current and active Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP)
Preferred:
Current certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
Must pass pre-employment skills a test as required and administered by Human Resources
