MDW Associates is currently seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support our NFSS customer at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. This position is being considered for either full time (40 hours/week) or part time (~20 hours/week) and is negotiable depending upon the candidate. The coordinator will be responsible for providing business management and supervisory skills for our financial management team and ensuring tasks are well organized. Candidate must be a self-starter, able to work at an increased pace, and willing to provide direct on-site support to the customer. This role is located in Houston, Texas and interested individuals must reside in the area or be immediately willing to relocate in order to support the customer with on-site meetings and other in-person requirements during the week.
Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with NASA customer to better understand and proactively respond to their needs, promote MDW, and assist with meeting strategic and tactical goals.
- Working with the NFSS Program Manager & Deputy Program Managers to successfully perform taskings and monitor contract performance.
- Coordinating of project management activities, resources, and information to enable the most effective performance of employees' assigned tasks.
- Assisting with the execution of contract initiatives and providing guidance and attention to employees to ensure requirements are understood and executed successfully.
- Monitoring of task performance and handling of issues that may arise.
- Managing employees to include approving timesheets/leave requests, conducting team meetings, providing input for performance reviews, etc.
- Coordinating with customers to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives as needed.
- Assigning tasks to team members and assisting with schedule management.
- Creating and maintaining required task/contract documentation & reports.
- Assisting in determining the best methods for disseminating information.
Required Skills/Experience:
- 5 years' experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role
- Prior experience interfacing directly with government representatives
- Successful management of employees
- Ability to provide strong, day-to-day leadership and direction to employees to execute quick turn actions aligned with strategic goals
- Ability to manage diverse workloads through the use of solid organizational skills, multitasking and time-management
- Proven ability to build a mutually collaborative relationship with clients, partners, and team members
- Experience in developing and managing formal task management processes and toolsets
- Must be able to prepare and report analysis
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Prior NASA experience is highly preferred
- Experience staffing surge requirements and coordination of Task Orders
Education Requirement/Required Years of Experience:
- Bachelors' degree in a business, program management or related discipline preferred and 5 years of directly related experience is required.
Clearance Requirement(s):
- Candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain the required level of Public Trust or Secret level Clearance.
