Equipment Operator:
As an Equipment Operator, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the safe and efficient installation and replacement of underground utilities. This role involves physically demanding work in an outdoor construction setting, where you'll operate various heavy equipment and collaborate with craft workers to achieve project goals.
What Do You Offer Us:
- Experience with operating heavy equipment and machinery, including excavators, backhoes, front-end loaders, bulldozers, trenchers, compactors, and skid steers, to excavate or move dirt, rock, and other materials.
- Conducting pre-trip inspections of equipment before mobilizing to the job site.
- Assisting in securing the work site and equipment at the end of each shift.
- Preparing and maintaining documents, reports, or job aids related to work, equipment, and safety.
- Using equipment to excavate, grade, and backfill trenches, ensuring the proper installation and maintenance of utility lines.
- Preparing construction sites by clearing debris, grading surfaces, and ensuring proper drainage.
- Excavating and removing obstacles or materials that may interfere with utility construction projects.
- Digging trenches to specified depths and widths for the installation of utility lines.
- Ensuring trench safety protocols are followed, including the use of protective systems and shoring when necessary.
- Loading and unloading materials using equipment, ensuring that materials are transported to the appropriate locations on the construction site.
- Assisting in the installation of utility lines, such as water pipes, gas lines, electrical conduits, or telecommunication cables.
- Adjusting equipment to achieve proper grades and slopes as specified in project plans.
- Performing compaction of soil to ensure stable foundations for utility structures.
- Conducting routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Performing pre-operational inspections and identifying any issues that may require repair or maintenance.
- Maintaining records of work performed, equipment usage, and any incidents or issues.
- Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned to support the overall success of the project.
- All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Valid Class A or B CDL.
- DOT Medical Card.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, with repeated lifting (up to 50 lbs.), kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
