MEC Technologies, Inc. is looking for an experienced Audio Visual Installation Technician. MEC Technologies is headquartered in Chelmsford, MA, and provides steady work in Merrimack Valley and the Greater Boston area. As one of New England's premier audio visual contractors, MEC has a focus on commercial projects with a concentration on Health Care Facilities, Higher Education and Commercial buildings.
Pay is based on experience, and negotiable.
The AV Installation Technician works closely with the Project Management and Installation Team to ensure that all audiovisual components are installed, configured, and tested properly.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Audiovisual Installation alongside crew of MEC Employees and/or subcontractors
· Ability to safely install equipment including but not limited to projectors, displays, speakers, projection screens, cameras, microphones, equipment racks.
· Familiarity with pulling and terminating low-voltage cabling
· Proficiency with audiovisual terminations
· Ability to use basic hand and power tools
· Ability to correctly read & interpret AV and Construction schematics
· Daily updating of Audiovisual documents for creation of post project as-builts
· Excellent communication & organizational skills with the desire to grow in the commercial AV industry
· Other duties as assigned
Experience:
· 2 Years of audiovisual or industry related experience preferred
· Preferred Trainings/Certifications:
- AVIXA CTS/CTS-I
- OSHA 10
· Ability to lift objects up to 60lbs.
· Ability to work off a ladder or staging
· Valid Driver’s license
· Reliable Transportation
· Ability to travel or work overtime as necessary
· Provide own basic power/hand tools
