- Position SummaryMaintains company property and surrounding area. Cuts grass, trims, rakes leaves, cleans area, plants flowers, and prunes trees. Maintains driveways, parking lots, and walkways by removing debris, litter, snow and ice. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance on gardening and grounds equipment.
- Minimum Qualifications

- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Valid Kentucky driver’s license required.
- Motor vehicle record check required and will be performed annually.

- Picks up trash and rubbish from grounds and parking lots.
- Operates and maintains a variety of mowers, sweepers, tractors, and power hand tools to maintain the lawn care of the Hospital.
- Seeds areas, shovels and turns soil as needed, and prepares plant beds. Prunes, trims, waters, fertilizes, and maintains tree and shrub care.
- Recommends material quantities and qualities needed to accomplish various tasks.
- Communicates maintenance issues with the appropriate personnel.
- Ability to operate power tools used in the maintenance of the grounds.
- Adheres to building codes and regulations.
- Performs snow removal during periods of inclement weather, including such duties as shoveling, hauling, salting, etc.
- Operates company vehicle to pick up materials and equipment for various projects. Adheres to driving laws and regulations and assures safe operation of vehicle. Conducts general maintenance checks on company vehicle. Reports maintenance issues. Maintains record of maintenance checks.
