Responsibilities :
- Greet patients and visitors with courtesy and professionalism, creating a welcoming environment.
- Collect patient information, including personal details, medical history, and insurance information, via electronic medical records or paper forms.
- Verify insurance eligibility, including coverage details, copayments, deductibles, and pre-authorizations for services.
- Clearly explain financial responsibilities to patients and help them understand insurance benefits and billing procedures.
- Coordinate appointments, referrals, and follow-ups with healthcare providers or departments.
- Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately and complies with relevant regulations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines at all times.
