What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Director position at Media.Monks?

Now, about the opportunity: In the Account Director position, you’ll be responsible for leading the agency relationship for some of our budding and high potential clients.  As the main point of contact on the day to day business, you will be responsible for the delivery of key programs, working closely with program leads at the clients as well as our internal leadership teams across our agency collective.
 
Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with a natural aptitude for seeing opportunities to build strategic relationships that drive growth. Someone who is a master orchestrator and gets nerdy about what they do, while being quick and flexible to get the job done. This job is fast paced and ever changing, so we need someone that likes to juggle multiple balls at once.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain key relationships with client teams and internal discipline leads, including Production and Creative team leads
  • Partner with clients on creative briefs to communicate project requirements for strategy, creative and production teams
  • Manage the financial process including SOW, budgets, revenue tracking and internal reporting
  • Work closely with project managers and producers within the existing programs, to ensure the delivery of work is to a high standard and meeting client expectations
  • Create and update all project timelines, manage spreadsheets, creative folders and other shared documents across platforms that include Google and Microsoft Teams 
  • Collect and clearly summarize client feedback, provide succinct direction to delivery teams, and ensure it is reflected in revisions
  • Manage all processes required to obtain a range of client approvals  
  • Have a positive, solutions oriented mindset, working with an internal cross-functional team to ensure deliverables are produced on time, on budget, and to client’s specifications
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Maintain excellent written and verbal communication with all parties and be able to lead client presentations
  • Attend all meetings with client project leads and communicate deliverables and key dates to all teams
  • Understand client’s business and objectives so that you can actively provide solutions and recommendations that they might not be asking for
  • Oversee all scheduling of key internal and external meetings to ensure input and feedback is received to facilitate advancement of the project
  • Understand our staffing and profitability, anticipate resourcing issues/needs, and advise senior account leadership 
  • Manage / maintain any internal ticketing or project management systems used by the client 

Background & Skills 

  • 7 years of marketing experience in a fast-paced, independent environment
  • B2B Marketing experience required
  • Highly entrepreneurial and able to work as a team of one on the day to day and coordinating work streams across cross-functional internal teams
  • Demonstrated ability to execute large-scale strategies and diverse digital and traditional content projects
  • Highly adaptable and comfortable with change and ambiguity
  • A comfort level with data, and analytics to measure and optimize programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Ability to write a campaign brief and give strong direction to the creative team
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills with key partners and stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills to organize teams across complex projects
