Reports to : Chief Development and Communications OfficerSummary : The Development and Communications Officer must be committed to and advocate forNBFAs mission to provide students a meaningful, high-quality education through experience-basedlearning that helps develop essential social, emotional and critical-thinking skills.
This gives all children afoundation to achieve their full potential at every stage of life. A critical player on the Development and Communications team, the Development and Communications Officer places NBFAs story externally to help frame the organizations fundraising efforts.
He / she brings this story to donors, donor prospects, prospective families and other key stakeholders. He / she is responsible for fulfillment / portfolio management and supporting events.
Draft press releases and announcements to promote NBFA to donors and the community at largeProduce analytic reports to determine best practices and make recommendations to improve NBFAsreach to key audiences.
Produce strategic content and materials (including videos, graphics, summary sheets) needed fordonor and donor prospect engagementCreate video scripts, shoot footage and edit video for publication on YouTube and other videoplatforms.
Capture and draft story-telling moments that can be converted into multi-purpose marketing,branding and stewardship materialsManage the donor portfolio including database upkeep and gift acknowledgments.
Co-draft, layout and coordinate donor solicitations. .Support event planning and implementation effortsCreate materials and position advertisements to support enrollment effortsCopy edit and proofreading, as needed.

Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years experience2. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills3.
Have sound and audience-conscious writing skills4. Be able to plan, prioritize tasks and effectively manage time5. Have strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs6.
