46 Hourly LOCATION Idaho Falls, IDJOB TYPEDEPARTMENTCasual JOB NUMBER 2024-0502Library OPENING DATE 05 / 02 / 2024CLOSING DATE ContinuousGeneral PurposeThis announcement will be used to fill part-time positions at the Library.
This position typically works up to 19.5 hoursper week which includes evening hours and shifts on Saturdays.The Library Page position performs basic duties related to maintaining the library collection.
Works under the closesupervision of a library supervisor or librarian.Essential FunctionsShelves books according to Dewey Decimal System and alphabetical order.
Straightens and arranges shelves .Checks books in and out as assigned . Collects fines and makes proper receipts .Performs related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications1. Education and Experience : A. Educational background sufficient to demonstrate an ability to perform the above and related tasks.
B. No experience necessary.2. Knowledge, skills and abilities : Ability to shelve accurat ely, ability to follow written and verbal instructions;
ability to develop good working relations withfellow employees and the general public; ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Final candidates will be subject to a background check prior to employment.Work EnvironmentIncumbent of the position performs in a typical office setting with appropriate climate controls.
Tasks require variety ofphysical activities, and may involve minimal muscular strain, such as walking, standing , stooping, sitting and reaching .
Mental application utilizes memory for details, emotional stability,discriminating thinking and creative problem solving .
