Summary / Objective
Assist the service manager in maintaining accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the service department's operation within the dealership.
The receptionist performs routine clerical, secretarial and administrative work in answering telephones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance, data processing, and record-keeping.
Essential FunctionsFields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service DepartmentOpens work orders as directed by the Service Manager / Shop Foreman and maintains control until they are closed and invoicedMaintains the service library with current information (for example, files bulletins, manuals, multi-media, etc.
under the direct supervision of the Service ManagerMaintains Service Department filing and recordsUpdates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work ordersMake weekly customer calls.
Normal days and hours are Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 a.m. to 5 : 00 pm. You may be required to work Saturdays 8 : 00 am to 12 : 00 pm.

Preferred Education, Experience and Requirements
Basic knowledge of accounting practicesAbility to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functionsKnowledge of office proceduresGeneral understanding of mechanical / technical terms is preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience
