The ideal candidate will have a passion for honing their litigation skills, including conducting depositions, appearing in court, meeting with clients, and collaborating with expert witnesses.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a caseload of medical malpractice defense matters
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses
- Collaborate with senior partners to strategize and execute case objectives
- Maintain organized case files and documentation
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in New York State
- Minimum of three years of experience in Medical Malpractice Defense
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
