Position Summary:
The Quality Supervisor oversees the quality control inspectors and works with the manufacturing team to support the product/component inspection activities per the schedule objectives defined by the production and engineering teams. The Quality Supervisor position performs direct quality activities in the Quality department in support of the department objectives to provide good and services that meet customer's requirements for quality, quantity, and timeliness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Personnel management
- Work with the production team to identify and assign appropriate inspector(s) to support manufacturing objectives
- Conduct onboarding and associated paperwork as required
- Interview and provide support to the hiring of quality personnel
- Balance and submit personnel timecards within HRIS and ERP systems
- Provide supervision, performance reviews, and mentoring/disciplinary action for all direct reports
- Manage training and cross-training of team members
- Communicate non-conformance issues identified during inspection, first level of escalation, stop line as necessary
- Adjust team assignments and priorities in accordance with production schedule, inspection data, and feedback
- Notify management of staffing and equipment needs to support inline and final inspection activities

Line management
- Manage equipment setups and line start setups
- Work with the team to ensure non-conforming material identified in inspections is removed from the line and properly labeled
- Support NCR creation and resolution
- Inspection paperwork/LHR review - daily check inspection forms; blanks filled in, paperwork complete, forms signed by appropriate inspector
- Perform line clearance audits for the production floor as needed
- Ensure that targets for productivity are maintained
- Generate data and prepare KPI's that monitor operational efficiency in key areas of Quality, Safety, Attendance, Productivity, and Scrap including the tracking of daily inspection rates, on paper or by computer as requested.
- Contact management and/or engineering for maintenance and repairs of inspection gauges/equipment as necessary
- Responsible to follow Medical Murray QMS, including all applicable SOPs included in the Quality Training Matrix
- Performs other job-related duties as requested
Minimum Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse group and knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
- 3-5 or more in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment (medical device quality experience preferred)
- Supervisory experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Technical training or relevant experience a strong plus
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail
- Ability to manage workflow in accordance with established methods for safety, quality, and performance
- Ability to read a blueprint associated with a component or a medical device
- Familiar with the use of inspection gauges and equipment including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, snap gauges, height gauges, laser mic, vision system, microscope
- Ability to manage and resolve conflict amongst peers, quality, and production groups
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite
