Data Governance Lead

Job Title: Data Governance Lead,

Position Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Location: Hybrid (4 days Remote & 1 Day Onsite in Boston, MA)

Our client is a cancer treatment & research institute located in Boston, MA and is looking to bring on an Associate Director, Data Governance Lead onto their team due to growth and in increase of initiatives within their Clinical and Business Analytics team. This person will be leading & overseeing their data catalog and data governance platform implementation, as they are looking to build out a data glossary & data catalog, standardizing terms, and establishing a data governance framework.

This position is a 6-Month Contract-to-Hire, and Hybrid (4 Days Remote, 1 Day Onsite).

Responsibilities:

• Work with team members to establish and enhance a metadata glossary within Informatica.
• Develop a data governance program and work with key stakeholders to create a framework that aligns with the business goals.
• Provide process improvement suggestions, best practices and strategies for data governance and data catalog.
• Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, deliverables, and execution for data governance initiatives.
• Develop, oversee, and lead their strategic vision and planning for implementing a data catalog and governance platform.
• Develop project plans, manage timelines, work closely with stakeholders & technical teams, and implement overall vision.
• Establish data governance best practices, build and maintain a data catalog for their analytic assets.
• Involved in hands-on aspects of implementing the data glossary, catalogs, and data governance within the Informatica platform.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a Data Governance Leader position.
• Strong experience with data cataloging and governance platforms, and establishing data governance processes.
• Experience with Enterprise Data Catalog platforms such as Informatica, Collibra, or Alation.
• Healthcare or Clinical Research industry experience.
