What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engine Assembler position at Medix?
Medix is seeking a mechanical assembler for an engine manufacturer. You would be responsible for working 60 hours a week assembling large engines for school buses, semis and industrial power generators to help provide electricity to areas impacted by natural disasters. They are paying $21 / hour.
Responsibilities:
- Complete one to two week paid training on engine assembly processes and operation of power tools.
- Work with hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks including panasonics, impact wrenches, torque wrenches, battery impact guns, screwdrivers, grinders and \ micrometers.
- Assemble power generator casings including sub assemblies, such as alternators brackets, flywheels, motor mounts, starters, and harnesses.
- No blueprint experience needed!
Requirements:
- Ability to use hand and power tools including power drills, screw drivers, wrenches, measuring tapes and mechanical gauges.
- Comfortable climbing ladders.
- Not afraid to work in a manufacturing environment on assembly lines.
- Great attendance record.
- Ability to pass drug and background check.
- Must own steel toe boots.
