What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospital Collector position at Medix?
Responsibilities:
Perform billing and collection of accounts for government and non-government insurance carriers. Duties include billing, collections, refunds, adjustments, EOB review, appeals, and denials.
Candidates will be receiving ATB daily regarding accounts to be worked(daily account spreadsheet). These accounts will be worked via calling payors and using web-based portals.
Required Exp:
- Underpayments
- Reviewing contracts
- Write Appeals and denials
- Requesting adjustments
- EOB Review
Shift: M-F 7:30-4:30
