Overview
Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced board certified neonatologist to join our well-established practice in Syracuse, NY.
- Our team provides care at both St. Joseph’s Health and Upstate Community Hospital
- St. Joseph's is a 14-bed Level III NICU with an ADC of 8
- Each year there are 1900 deliveries with 296 NICU admissions last year
- Keep babies of 1000 grams and up
- St. Joseph's is a very active teaching hospital with rotations from residents, medical students and PA/NNP students
- Upstate Community Hospital has 21 couplet care/postpartum rooms and 6 extra care nursery beds and is in the process to become a Level II
- Group covers all extra care babies and 98% of well babies
- There are approximately 1000 deliveries per year and 90 extra care admissions
- Keep babies 34 weeks and those requiring oxygen, HFNC and gavage
- 24/7 in-house APP coverage with NICU specialized nursing
- We supervise PL1 Family Med residents and have medical students who rotate through, we also have in-house anesthesia support
