Job Summary
The Business Manager, under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), is responsible for supporting the human resource and financial operations for MedScribes. There is flexibility in schedule and opportunity to work remotely. It is a wonderful opportunity with flexibility to engage a student seeking broad exposure to leadership descisions and how to grow a small business. It is also a great fit for an experienced individual who is interested in offering expertise part-time and remotely.
Business Operations Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts receivable and payable, including client invoicing and collections
- Provide regular and ad hoc financial reporting and analysis
- Ensure proper documentation for expenses, income, and other expenditures into the accounting system.
- Oversee maintenance of business insurance programs such as property, liability, and workers’ compensation.
- Manage semi-monthly payroll which includes timecard management and reconciliation as well as timely submission
- Assist in on-boarding of new staff
- Maintain organization of HR files and monitor for annual compliance
- Complete staffing analysis related to hiring needs
