- Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Maryland.
- 3 years hospital pharmacy experience; 2 years management-level responsibility in Pharmacy.
- Pharmacist license in the State of Maryland.
- Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred.
- Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
- Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams.
- Participates in the Department Continuous Quality Improvement Program.
- Participates in the hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluation of department personnel.
- Participates in the ongoing review, maintenance, and revision of the Departmental Policy and Procedure Manual.
- Performs duties of the Patient Care Pharmacist to achieve efficient integration of distributive and patient care activities to ensure prompt and accurate dispensing of all inpatient medications.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Provides daily supervision of pharmaceutical operations.
- Provides management-level intervention for daily issues and problems requiring interaction between the Pharmacy Department and other hospital personnel.
- Provides primary supervision and/or coordination of departmental automation including Pyxis and HCS clinical software.
