We are looking for a well-organized individual to assist with our licensing initiative. In this role, the licensing specialist, will be responsible for obtaining and completing the initial provider application for US state medical licenses. This role will require the individual to have a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research and compile the appropriate application from the US State Medical Board based on the provider's need.
- Work alongside the provider to be sure all the necessary documentation needed for the application is obtained.
- Maintain a high level of communication with our providers throughout the licensure application process.
- Utilize task management software to maintain up to date on tasks.
- Complete application fully and with careful attention to accuracy and detail; transmit to provider for review and approval.
- Request and complete the verifications that are required by the state medical board.
- Maintain follow up with the state license board until the application has reached approval by the medical board.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma; Associate degree or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in an administrative role
Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Exceptional organizational skills and focus on accuracy
- Able to effectively manage time
- Ability to problem solve effectively
- Proficiency in Google computer programs and company-specific systems and databases
- Ability to exercise solid judgment including the handling of highly confidential information
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to function as a member of a team
- Excellent American-English written and verbal communication skills
- Performs other assignments, projects, and duties as assigned and/or required
- Demonstrated reliability, able to “close the loop” and complete requests in timely manner, including returning all contacts (calls and emails) within 24 hours, preferably by end of same business day
