General Description
TVG-Medulla, LLC provides support and services to two comprehensive chiropractic care companies, MyoCore Personalized Pain Care and Chiro One Wellness Centers, both industry leaders in evidence-based, patient outcomes-centered care.
The Front Desk Assistant is expected to offer the highest level of customer service to patients and provide support to doctors within the office. Record of tasks to do and completed, are to be kept so that in case of any absence, those tasks can be continued during that period without error by another.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Maintain the appointment schedule (adding, rescheduling, and canceling)
Greet, take payments, and communicate insurance/account updates with patient as needed. - Answer all incoming calls, return missed calls/voicemails, and create, change, implement voicemail.
- Create daily billing sheets, enter copays, and audit accounts for the following business day.
- Enter into EZ Bis software or submit billing information from daily billing sheet.
- Update patient diagnosis as detailed on billing sheet
- Complete End of Day procedures and reporting once reviewed for accuracy.
- Enter patient information, including source of referral, scan documents and call on insurance for new patients.
- Communicate/Track requests for doctor’s notes as needed and follow up to ensure completion.
- Enter patient payments as received.
- Provide support to Dr.’s and staff as requested. Including but not limited to: phone calls, e-mails, typing documents, sending out mail, faxing, marketing, researching and all other administrative-like tasks.
- Update all required spreadsheets.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Remain current on Medulla policies, procedures, and protocols via the Medulla Intranet.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with Word and Excel
- Ability to type at least 45 words per minute with strong accuracy.
- 1-year relevant administrative support experience
