How you will make an impact:
As a Machinist Level I, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and components. The Machinist 1 will cut material to size, use conventional and CNC lathes and mills to machine parts to print, make custom Jig fixtures for holding parts, and verify finished dimensions with calipers and gauge pins. You will work with blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate and high-quality machining.
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses, to perform precision machining operations.
- Study blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Select appropriate tools, materials, and cutting speeds for each machining operation.
- Align and secure workpieces on machines using clamps, vices, or fixtures.
- Use precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges, to ensure the accuracy and quality of machined parts.
This is an on-site role based out of our headquarters in Camarillo, CA.
The skills and experience youll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or vocational certification in machining is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Machinist 1 or similar role, demonstrating proficiency in operating machine tools and performing precision machining operations.
- Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.Experience machining parts using a conventional Mill and Lathe.
- Experience machining parts using a CNC Mill and Lathe.
- Experience machining parts using a ProtoTrac Mill and Lathe a plus. Must have strong English Language written and verbal communication skills.

US BASE PAY SCALE $20.84 - $27.63 /hr
The base pay scale for this role is what Meissner reasonably expects to pay for the position although actual pay may vary from this scale depending on an applicant's experience.
