Meister Seelig & Fein is seeking a highly motivated and experienced probate, estate planning, and estate/trust administration attorney with 3-4 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing clients in probate, administration, trusts, fiduciary, and beneficiary matters. Additionally, candidates should have a strong background in gift and estate tax planning. The candidate will work closely with clients, attorneys, and accountants. Responsibilities will include all phases of trust and estate planning, administration, litigation, and tax planning. Strong knowledge of Surrogate’s Court rules and procedures (e.g., probate, administration, accounting proceedings and contested matters) is essential familiarity with preparing gift and estate tax returns is preferable.
Qualifications:
- JD
- Admitted to practice in NY.
- 3-4 years of experience in probate administration and trust/estate tax planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $160,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
