OVERVIEW:
The purpose of the Relationship Manager/Officer is to develop business for the credit union's products and services to members and prospects through a consultative sales culture. This position is responsible for acting as a pivotal point-of-contact, ensuring member awareness of available financial products and services, meeting financial goals that are established on an annual basis and working to achieve the organization's business development goals by generating revenue for the credit union. A significant degree of creativity, data analysis and problem-solving skills are required in order to solve a wide variety of issues that may arise.
With limited budgetary responsibility, the Relationship Manager/Officer supports strategic and annual business planning, engages in the community, leads the delivery of products and services, supports new product and service development and ensures compliance with regulatory agency and credit union standards. This position has very limited supervision of work and identifies, develops and fosters significant member relationships and enhances the image of the credit union through involvement in the community. In addition, the Relationship Manager/Officer interacts with member to ensure needs are being met in a professional manner and communicates member feedback to assist in the execution of new product delivery and understands applicable operating standards and provides periodic compliance reporting.
This is a 100% remote opportunity that may require you to attend in-person member meetings at a local branch or attend events within your assigned region.
EDUCATION:
• General and business knowledge equivalent to a bachelor’s degree
EXPERIENCE:
• 2-4 years of progressive business development and financial services experience
SKILLS:
• Decision making requires analytical, independent judgment and ingenuity with significant discretion on daily operational decisions
• A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively deal with members, management and other credit union personnel
• Knowledge of lending theory, industry practice and Members 1st policies
• In-depth knowledge of the economic climate of communities served

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
• Ability to receive information and hear sounds at normal speaking levels under normal conditions within all member and prospect interactions
• Visually able to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading
• Sufficient manual skill for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment.

• Ability to work extended evening and weekend hours and to travel to other locations to provide extended hours coverage
• Ability to exert minimum amounts of force up to 25 pounds often to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
