Job Title: Inside Sales Specialist

Directly Reports To: Vice President-Sales and Marketing

Personnel Leaders: Executive Team

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Inside Sales Specialist will be responsible for providing technical and sales support to the entire Memmert USA sales team for all channels, both direct and distribution. This individual will gain an astute knowledge of our products and their applications-thus being able to drive sales and support both the team and our customers. The ideal candidate will have an “I can” attitude with the openness and willingness to support the company and our customers with whatever may be necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be able to have an open mind and willingness to learn about Memmert and its mission.
  • Effectively maintain communication and interaction with Sales Team in supporting current initiatives to generate and grow sales.
  • Ownership of sales process: from inception to close. Manage activities to generate and close sales opportunities.
  • Direct interaction with end customers and distribution representatives in providing quotes, technical information, and assistance in selection of products.
  • Generate own ideas, initiatives and programs to be presented to Sales Leadership for discussion and implementation.
  • Use and management of CRM data input and weekly metrics.
  • Maintains and expands customer base by building and maintaining rapport with key accounts, customers.
  • Identify new customer and account opportunities.
  • Provide weekly updates to Sales Leadership on activities and ensuing actions.
  • Ability to attend trade show or service training events sponsored by Memmert USA as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

· Associate’s Degree with relevant experience required. Bachelor’s Degree – four year College or University – preferred.

· Experience in marketing, advertising or business administration is a plus.

· Strong interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills.

· Ability to take direction and work independently and in concert with Sales Leadership.

· Computer literacy and competency.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to author reports and documentation. Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and other employees within Memmert USA and Memmert GmbH.

Mathematical Skills

General mathematical skills are required.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and provide creative solutions.

Hours: Salaried position, working a modified schedule to support multiple time zones.

Other Skills/Abilities

· Enthusiastic about making valuable connections.

· Ability to work within a diverse and fast paced team.

· Knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft Office products is a plus

· Fluent in Spanish is a plus

The employee must occasionally lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
