ABOUT MENLO CHURCH

Menlo is a multisite church in the San Francisco Bay area and a member of ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians. Our San Mateo campus is one of five locations throughout the Peninsula and South Bay. The Menlo Kids Coordinator will support an integrated ministry that partners with parents and the broader church family to successfully launch children into a lifetime of faith in Jesus Christ. Being a part of a multisite church, the Menlo Kids Coordinator will need to have a strong collaborative nature and be able to work in a matrix organization. You’ll work closely with our San Mateo campus team and report directly to the San Mateo Menlo Kids Director. In addition, you’ll collaborate with the Central NextGen team and other Menlo Kids staff from various campuses. All our locations comprise one church where everyone is welcome, nobody’s perfect, and anything’s possible.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Menlo Kids Coordinator equips us for rapid growth and enables us to invest more fully in supporting volunteers, serving current families, and reaching our neighbors. The Menlo Kids Coordinator will serve as the Lead Child Care Giver for events requiring childcare.  You will ensure adequate coverage, and recruit, train, and support volunteers and Child Care staff. The MK Coordinator will focus on early childhood, which includes infants through preschool-aged children. The Menlo Kids Coordinator will prepare materials and physically set up the classrooms each week. You’ll schedule volunteers, answer questions, and support parents, families, volunteers, and lay leaders. Our volunteers, children, and families come from a variety of backgrounds, so it is important that our MK Coordinator feels comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people.

We are looking for a MK Coordinator who is proactive and can help us keep the ministry organized and on track. The Menlo Kids Coordinator will need to be organized, and relational, and handle change and surprises with grace.
