Purpose:
The Program Manager provides clinical and administrative supervision, program oversight and leadership to staff who provide services to families with serious psychiatric and/or substance abuse difficulties in the families home. The intensive Family Services Manager will be part of launching and creating a new service line and and programs for children, youth and parents with high needs.
Job Summary:
The Program Manager manages the day to day operations of assigned team(s), serving as the primary point of communication, oversight and decision-making regarding program needs, requirements and development. This position supervises, supports, and manages clinical and support staff on assigned team(s) by training, guiding, coaching, disseminating, delegating responsibilities, evaluating performance and providing performance feedback.
Essential Functions:
- Provides direct clinical supervision to the therapist, health and wellness coach, peer support services and other providers.
- Identifies, prioritizes and balances the organizational, programmatic and staffing needs necessary to achieve optimal program objectives
- Maintains high quality standards of care, including coordination with appropriate internal, external, and social supports
- Provides comprehensive, community-based services, designed to promote client independence and integration in all aspects of their lives
- Researches and identifies, supports, and implements evidence-based, best and promising practices that are appropriate to clients
- Participates in the development and tracking of outcome measures and continuous quality review processes to evaluate and improve program and treatment effectiveness
- Develops and implements an annual budget to align expenditures to MHP priorities and resources
Oversees application of regulatory and contractual requirements for all relevant contracts, partnerships or other collaborations within responsible team(s) or programs
- Prepares, develops and manages grants and grant-provided services, as applicable, including timely reporting
Supervisory Duties:
- Provides program oversight for assigned program by managing day to day operations and decision making regarding program needs, requirements and development
- Develops and manages budget for assigned program and ensures team is effectively managed within the designated budget. Manages required grant related budget details and reports.
- Hires, trains, and develops a diverse group of staff who possess a wide range of abilities and professional competencies to deliver effective service to customers
- Manage several programs focused on children, adolescents and their families with intensive mental health needs. The primary goals are retaining the youth in their community and preventing out of home placement
- Demonstrates knowledge, support for and adherence to policies, procedures and regulations that direct MHPs staff, services and business practices
- Establishes and clarifies expectations, provides on-going coaching and feedback and administers the annual catalytic coaching process with employees
- Duties are performed in close collaboration with DHHS, schools, juvenile justice and other MHP teams and partners in Boulder and Broomfield Counties

What We Need for this Role:
- Relevant Master’s Degree with at least 5 - 7 years’ relevant work experience OR relevant PhD plus 2 – 5 years’ relevant experience
- At least 3 – 5 year’s previous supervisory experience required
- Licensed PhD or PsyD, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage/Family Therapist (LMFT), or ability to receive license within 6 months of hire, preferred
- Advanced skills in mental health diagnosis, substance abuse and/or treatment specific to populations served within the team(s) supervised: child, adolescent and family treatment, community/home based treatment experience preferred
- Up-to-date working knowledge of licensing, regulatory or contractual requirements
- Working knowledge of budgeting (development, ongoing monitoring and adjustment as needed)
- Advanced computer skills including use of electronic health record and MS Office products and the ability to learn new tools as needed
- Bicultural/Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
