Merakey is currently seeking aRegistered Nurseto join our Merakey Behavioral Health Community Based Division in ourNew Orleans, LAlocation.
POSITION DETAILS
The Registered Nurse will assist psychiatrists in all clinically related administrative responsibilities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
- Provides liaison with staff/programs of Merakey and external referral sources.
- Provides appropriate medical and psychiatric consultation to staff, clients, and families.
- Assists psychiatrists in development and maintenance of procedures.
- Assists in obtaining medical and psychiatric information.
- Assures necessary flow of medical and psychiatric information from psychiatrist to others.

Requirements:- A current Louisiana Nursing License
- Behavioral Health experience preferred
- A genuine interest in working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.In addition, a current and valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
This is a community- based position that requires travel throughout the parish.
