Job Description

As the Director of Future of Work and Talent Strategy, we are looking for a seasoned HR professional who will play a critical role in shaping and implementing the organization's strategy for the future of work and to drive the transition to a skills-based organization where skills are integrated into workforce planning and talent practices across the end-to-end talent journey, including sourcing, hiring, talent management, learning & development, and career progression.

You will be responsible for anticipating and addressing the evolving workforce needs, developing innovative talent strategies, and ensuring the organization has the right talent, skills, and capabilities to thrive in the future. This role requires a forward-thinking mindset, strategic vision, and a deep understanding of HR practices, talent acquisition, development, and retention. The role also provides an opportunity for transformational work by playing a thought leadership role and expert to inspire and drive a skills-based talent management strategy within our company and creating and leading a framework for the deployment of this strategy at scale across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analysis of industry trends, emerging technologies, and changing work dynamics to inform the organization's future of work strategy.

  • Build and maintain relationships with external organizations, industry experts, and thought leaders to stay informed about best practices and industry trends.

  • Participate in relevant industry events, conferences, and networks to represent the organization and share knowledge.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of skills, automation, artificial intelligence, remote work, and other relevant factors on the workforce.

  • Develop a roadmap for implementing new work models, flexible arrangements, and technologies that enhance productivity, collaboration, and employee experience.

  • Lead the build-out of an enterprise skills strategy & roadmap focused on creating a skills framework, governance of taxonomy, skills assessment and segmentation, deployment approach, adoption and change management

  • Partner with various HR teams to design, build, and sustain skills-based job architectures and talent practices for relevant business areas or talent segments to define and organize jobs using a consistent, enterprise-wide taxonomy

  • Define and execute a comprehensive talent strategy aligned with the organization's long-term goals and future workforce needs.

  • Identify critical talent segments and predict future skills and capabilities needs based on data and intelligence from enterprise strategic goals, business leader input, and broader external market trends

  • Sponsor, develop, and lead (where appropriate) initiatives, programs, and policies to enable integration of new solutions into existing talent practices & solutions

  • Collaborate with senior leaders, managers, and employees to drive awareness, acceptance, and adoption of new work models and talent practices.

  • Provide guidance and support to HR teams and business leaders in managing the impact of workforce changes.

  • Leverage HR analytics and data-driven insights to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of talent strategies.

  • Develop dashboards and reports to communicate talent-related metrics and trends to senior leadership.

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline, or currently in pursuit of degree completion, or equivalent relevant work experience

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years of work experience in Human Resources, with expertise in Human Resource strategy, talent management, and workforce planning, preferably in a leadership role.

  • Deep understanding of future work trends, emerging technologies, and their impact on talent management.

  • Establishing strategic direction and plan to achieve short-term and long-term goals

  • Expertise in skill-based talent strategy and management, and talent development/organizational effectiveness with a track record of successfully structuring and developing bold and innovative strategies from the ground up

  • Experience defining and deploying a skills-based talent strategy across different business areas and markets globally

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive decision-making.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and consult and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Demonstrated change management experience, with the ability to navigate and lead organizational change.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.

  • Broad global perspective and the ability to lead with cultural sensitivity across a matrixed, global organization

  • Proven ability to drive results and catalyze new ideas approaches to improve outcomes for customers

  • Embrace practices to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion across all aspects of daily work

  • Proficient in Talent Management tools and practices

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.  This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:

$159,200.00 - $250,700.00
