Position Summary: The Field Sales and Marketing Manager position is responsible for leading the company’s local Sales and Marketing support activities within the defined Service Center markets. This position will report directly to the Director – Field Sales, but also report on a dotted line basis to the local Service Center General Manager. The Field Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for driving and implementing local sales activities to meet/exceed established sales targets for the local Service Center areas. The position will be responsible for prospecting, sales presentations, community networking and closing sales orders as primary responsibilities-targeting local businesses, schools and wholesale partners.
In addition, this role will work closely with Corporate Marketing and the local Service Center General Manager to implement and support designed localized marketing and promotional campaigns, develop and attend local community trade shows/events and networking functions, and initiate programs to help increase local brand awareness and drive new sales leads. Finally, the Field Sales and Marketing Manager should identify targeted local advertising and sponsorship opportunities and manage an assigned local budget for those initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work as the local lead business sales representative prospecting and generating sales proposals for local businesses, schools and wholesale targets.
- Collaborate with the local Service Center General Manager, Director of Field Sales and Corporate Marketing to select final sales and marketing strategies and tactics in the local market to drive brand awareness and quality sales leads.
- Develop and deliver quality sales proposals to prospects
- Follow-up with prospects and close sales as required to meet or exceed established sales quotas and targets
- Actively work within the local communities of the Service Center area to build relationships, attend events, sponsor local activities, and network with local business leaders to cultivate positive relationships and goodwill for Mercury Broadband.
- Identify local advertising opportunities and work with Corporate Marketing to create required local ads and other materials as required.
Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum 5-10 years of successful proven sales experience
- Experience in B-B, Wholesale and Education market sales, preferably within the technology industry.
- Experience working with Marketing function
- Track record of meeting or exceeding established sales goals
- Strong sales skills and knowledge of best practices
- Coaching, mentoring and employee development experience
- Strong communicator and presentation skills, excellent interpersonal and analytic skills
- Proven ability to problem-solve, including metric-driven thinking
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, communications, general studies or equivalent experience required. MBA preferred
