What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift Extrusion Utility position at Mercury Plastics LLC?
Purpose and Scope: The Extrusion Utility is responsible for following the training parameters to become competent in providing stock, cartons, skids, and other production materials to the Extrusion job sites. As production is completed at each job site, remove completed material, and deliver to the proper area. Working within the Tool Room and on the Grinder is in addition to the material handling responsibilities. Responsibilities: Transport material, stock, cartons, skids, purchased parts to appropriate job sites in the Fab Department Remove trash out of the department on an as needed basis Assist in conducting spot inventory counts and month-end inventory as required Assist in set-up of new job sites and tear down/clean up of completed job sites Using grinder for scrap parts Organizing, cleaning, and working on tools in Tool Room Keep equipment and work area clean Follow ISO procedures Job Requirements Required Core Competencies: A basic understanding of materials, weights and measures, and distinction between materials Excellent verbal communication, organizational and math skills Basic mechanical skills Ability to drive lift truck Able to lift to 50 pounds Training Requirements: The Extrusion Utility is required to complete training exercises in, or demonstrate a working knowledge of: Lift truck operation Materials inventory and storage Grinding scrap and transitioning from one to the next material Organization and operation of Tool Room Extrusion material flow process ISO procedures, Standard Work Instructions, and Quality Policy Company: Mercury Plastics Shift 3 (United States of America) Full time Mercury Plastics (the “Company”) is an equal opportunity employer and we want to have the best available persons in every job.
