What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solder Assembler position at Mercury Systems?
In this role, you have the opportunity to:
Be an integral contributor to the production of cutting-edge RF components and systems
You are responsible for:
- Performing a wide variety of electrical/mechanical product assembly operations on components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies.
- Preparing assembly work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions and following blueprint specifications
- Populating printed circuit boards (PCBs) from Work Instructions and Assembly Drawings / Bills of Material
- Assembling components by positioning parts and sub-assemblies examining connections for correct fit, and fastening parts and sub-assemblies
- Assembling PCBs into housings using wire bonding and die attach.
- Cleaning PCBs and assemblies throughout process and after completion
- Continuously meeting/exceeding production schedules and deadlines according to quality standards
- Maintaining logs and paperwork and forms accurately consistent with company policy and practices
- Other duties as assigned

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Soldering experience with surface mount technology, components as small as 0201 and lead/pin pitches as small as 0.4mm.
- Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Experience with RF/Microwave assemblies preferred
- 2( ) years of related experience required
- Must be detail oriented and able to multitask
- Must be able work in a fast paced, team orientated environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
