Job Description:
- Conduct hospital rounding, consults, and manage patients pre and post-operation.
- Provide continuous care for patients while surgeons are in surgery, ensuring timely and efficient treatment.
- Manage post-operative care, including line and chest tube insertion and management.
- Collaborate with physicians to round with the team, handle new referrals, and manage post-op progress, labs, imaging, and medications.
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with variable weekend shifts.
- Remain on-call until the closure of the cath lab to ensure comprehensive patient care and address any additional consults for the day.
- Oversee the management of post-operative patients throughout the night, ensuring their comfort and recovery.
- Participate in a rotating call schedule, with duty required every third weekend, facilitating continuous patient support.
- Engage in morning rounds and maintain availability for patient care, fostering a proactive approach to addressing patient needs.
- Average approximately 10 call days per month, providing consistent coverage and support for our patient population.
Requirements:
- Licensed Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Ohio.
- Critical care experience is essential.
- Must hold an unrestricted license and DEA registration.
