The Neurodiagnostic Technician will be responsible for performing nerve conduction studies (NCS). The Nuerodiagnostic Technician will join a team that supports the market needs for nerve conduction studies in our outpatient settings. Responsibilities include NCS testing on both common and uncommon nerves and recognizing clinically significant waveforms, maintaining timely completion of daily patient testing, accurate documentation of patient testing, and physical maintenance of clinical testing equipment. The incumbent performs all assigned duties in strict compliance with established policies, procedures and protocols, and always works to ensure patient safety, comfort and privacy
EDUCATION:
High school graduate or equivalency test.
Associate Degree from accredited school for Electroneuro diagnostic Technologists preferred but not required.
Spelling, basic knowledge of anatomy (muscles, nerves, vestibular system, visual system); average mathematical skills; basic knowledge of electronics and instrumentation.
EXPERIENCE:
CNCT or RNCST certification is preferred, but not required
Recent experience in EMG preferred
Individuals with strong anatomy/physiology knowledge and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply with no experience history
