Mercy Ships is currently looking for a full-time Video Editor who will be responsible for working closely with the Video Producer to deliver/edit videos for our external and internal communications, including but not limited to, major campaigns, events, and social media channels.
What you'll contribute
- Edit department videos.
- Operate video and sound equipment for in-house productions, potentially leading up to field productions.
- Work closely with the Video Producer to script and produce promotional videos.
- Shoot internal communication.
- Be responsible for maintaining and organizing our storage and backups.
- Troubleshoot day-to-day technical operations of production department.
- Assist in technical requirements of all television, web and video productions.
- Photograph occasional events at our headquarters.
- Other duties as assigned.
For this role, you'll need
- Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Ability to operate camera, sound, and lighting equipment.
- This position disseminates final projects and timelines to 16 national markets, which means extreme attention to detail is required.
- Able to take creative direction and work independently.
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of color correction, sound editing, and/or animation.
- Ability to work with producer in order to ensure the proper message is in production.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Media Communications or related field is preferred.
- Must have 3 year’s experience in communications/media production.
- Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year.
