Five-week winter extern program for nursing students to gain experience and boost confidence in their career, with a focus on working with a preceptor in two departments and discovering where their passion for nursing is leading them.
During your five-week externship, you will have the opportunity to experience working with a preceptor in two departments. Discover where your passion for nursing is leading you at Mercy!
To be eligible for this program, you must:
- Have completed one year of RN clinicals at an accredited School of Nursing with an anticipated Spring or Winter 2025 graduation date
- Hold a BLS Certification
In addition to the online application, the following documents must be brought to the in-person interview:
- Electronic Transcript
- Skills Checklist signed by Clinical Instructor
The program will begin on December 9, 2024, and end on January 11, 2025, with the opportunity to stay in a Nurse Tech role after the completion of the extern program.
