Overview:
The Clinic Cardiac Device Nurse plays a key role in the delivery of care to patients with a cardiac device (loop recorder, pacemaker, and defibrillator). The Device Nurse is responsible for the interrogation, re-programming, and rhythm interpretation of all types of implanted cardiac devices including on-site and remote device checks. Performs device implant site checks involving removal of sutures and staples as needed. Manages and schedules follow up patient appointments within established parameters. The Clinic Cardiac Device Nurse delivers goal-oriented patient/family education and communicates effectively with health care team to achieve desired results for cardiovascular patients.
Qualifications:
- Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
- License: current RN license in our state
- Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
