Overview:
The Referral Coordinator is responsible for maintaining information flow in the managed carereferral process for all contracted managed care health plans. Performs duties andresponsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma required
- Licensure: none
- Experience: Work experience in a physician's office or medical institutionwith exposure to managed care and primary care rules andpractices.

- Skill in exercising initiative, judgement, problem-solving, anddecision-making.
- Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships withstaff, doctors, nurses, patients, and managed carerepresentatives.
- Skill in organizing work to achieve clinic goals and objectives.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Knowledge of governmental regulations and reimbursement requirements.
- Knowledge of computer systems and applications
