Overview:
The Registered Nurse works under the supervision of the, Manager, House Supervisor and/or Executive Director, and is responsible for the delivery of efficient, safe patient care through the use of the nursing process, hospital policies and procedures. In addition the Registered Nurse works closely with and acts as clinical expert for other professional and ancillary nursing personnel.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
- Licensure: RN Registered Nurse in Kansas, or Nurse Compact State License
- Experience: Must have basic competencies equivalent to those required of unit core nurses. Specialty skills will be approved and assigned on an individual basis. Certifications: BLS Basic Life Support, and ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support to be current before assigned to care for patients independently. In addition TNCC, and PALS required for Critical Care Float, and NRP for NICCU float.
- Other: Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills are required, and the Registered Nurse must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Must be able to operate various types of office equipment, including a computer, fax machine, telephone, printer and copy machine. Acts as Charge RN if one is unavailable.
- Preferred Education: Prefer BSN
- Preferred Licensure: Preferred Experience: 3-5 years current, medical surgical or critical care experience in hospital setting and have competencies equivalent to those required of core staff nurses.
- Preferred Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS
