Overview:
The Workers' Compensation Clinical Support Assistant works directly with provider and clinical staff to support the needs of client Workers' Compensation (WC) patients.
Obtains authorization from insurance adjusters, and/or case managers for medical services.
Schedules follow-up appointments and expedites referrals to physical therapy, diagnostics, and surgery.
Prepares copies of work status report and physician orders for patient and case manager.
Faxes or emails copies of work status report to the employer, insurance adjuster and case manager following the appointment.
Performs data entry and answer phones as needed.
Collaborates with providers, clinical care team and patients to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain positive patient engagement.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Workers' compensation and clinical experience of at least one year.
- Required Education: High School Diploma
- Other: Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
