AR & Billing Specialist

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AR & BILLING SPECIALIST

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Data entry of patient info.
• Verifies accuracy of billing data and revises errors.
• Verifies and checks status on insurance claims as necessary.
• Monitors aging reports and takes such steps as necessary to guarantee payment of claims.
• Auto and hand post payments from all payers and patients.
• Maintain clearing house rejections.
• Identifies and resolves patient billing questions and complaints.
• Participates in take-back, overpayment, and refund processes.
• Any and all other duties as assigned by the Billing Manager, Director of Revenue Cycle Management or CFO

QUALIFICATIONS OF AN AR & BILLING SPECIALIST

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years' experience or education in Medical Billing required
